Another highlight for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, directed by Tommy Smith: Peter Erskine visits Scotland as a special guest for this four gig mini concert series later this month. To support the event, we designed an original poster artwork, loosely based on the style Weather Report’s great classic album covers from the 70s. Part of the multi format advertisement assets is also the concert program and an email campaign.

The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra welcomes to Scotland one of the world’s leading drummers, Peter Erskine of pioneering jazz band Weather Report, to perform a selection of the band’s classics specially arranged by some the best composers in jazz to create Weather Report heaven.
Weather Report, the most influential and creative jazz-fusion band of the 1970s and 80s, combined global influences, instantly familiar melodies, and swinging grooves driven by Erskine’s phenomenal drumming. Their music defined that genre with iconic tunes such as Birdland and great albums incl. Black Market and Heavy Weather.
