Speaking to JazzFuel’s Matt Fripp

For his brilliant JazzFuel website, Matt Fripp has conducted insightful Q&As with a number of successful and forward thinking professionals from the Jazz community. He is focusing on the business behind the music and the huge demand for help to self promote and navigate the tricky and overwhelming straights of social media, digital communications, agency and label liaisons, marketing and PR, while not neglecting the music and the creative space that’s needed to grow as an artist.

When I was asked to contribute with some of my own takes on our industry, I was very flattered. Here’s the nadworks perspective on JazzFuel’s 10 questions around digital marketing, web promotion and fan reach via social media

Jazzfuel is an online resource and newsletter run by Matt Fripp, with special guests from around the jazz world. If you’re a gigging jazz musician looking to take your career to the next level – whether that’s releasing a new album or developing your international touring – Jazzfuel is for you. The goal is to give you ideas, advice & support to sell more music, win more fans, get more jazz gigs.

Matt Fripp has worked as a booking agent & artist manager for jazz musicians for almost 10 years now. He has booked more than 1,500 gigs in that time and has been a frequent regular at a lot of great festivals and clubs around the world.

Same as Nadja von Massow, Matt is based in Europe (which is where a lot of his artists perform), but has also organised gigs and tours in North America & Asia.
